Cooper Slide Rails originated as Cooper Tool Engineering, a specialist in press tool making, jigs and fixtures, and light fabrication.
In 1974, the company identified a need for a more accessible and cost-effective alternative to traditional cast iron motor slide rails. In response, it designed and developed a range of fabricated motor slide rails, offering enhanced availability, flexibility, and value for electric motor mounting.
Over time, fabricated rails have become the industry standard, effectively replacing cast iron alternatives across most applications.
Today, Cooper Slide Rails is the UK’s largest manufacturer of fabricated motor slide rails, proudly supplying a majority of the country’s electric motor manufacturers and distributors.
